Petra Sprecher
Intimacy Coordinator
In a world where storytelling continues to evolve, the depiction of intimate moments in film and television plays a crucial role in connecting audiences to characters and narratives. As a certified intimacy coordinator, I am dedicated to fostering a safe and respectful environment on set, ensuring that performers can navigate intimate scenes with confidence and authenticity.
Welcome to Petra’s Intimacy Coordination
With a background in Physical acting, staged Physical violence (stunts, choreography), I bring a compassionate and professional approach to every project. My mission is to prioritize the well-being of the cast while enhancing the storytelling process. I work closely with directors, producers, and actors to craft intimate scenes that are both meaningful and consensual, honoring each performer’s boundaries and personal comfort levels.
Together, we can create powerful, evocative moments that resonate with audiences while maintaining a trusted and supportive atmosphere behind the scenes. Let’s collaborate to bring your vision to life with respect and creativity.

What is an intimacy coordinator?
An intimacy coordinator (IC) is a specialized professional in film and television who acts as an advocate and liaison between actors and production to ensure safety, consent, and comfort during scenes involving nudity, simulated sex, or intense physical intimacy.
They choreograph intimate moments, establish boundaries, and maintain a professional, respectful environment, typically applying the “five pillars” of Consent, Context, Communication, Choreography, and Closure.
Core Responsibilities & Role
Choreography
Petra treats intimate scenes similar to stunts; choreographing movement to ensure safety while fulfilling the director’s vision.
Liaison & Consent
She ensures actors provide informed consent for specific actions, acting as a mediator between performers, directors, and producers.
Setting Boundaries
She works with actors to identify personal boundaries and ensure these are respected on set.
Safety & Logistics
She ensures the use of modesty garments, protective barriers, and minimizes the number of people on set during filming.
In early 2025, Petra began working as an intimacy coordinator on a variety of micro-dramas. She is currently in the certification stage at Cintima and is looking forward to put her newly acquired knowledge and skills to use, by helping produce creativity for scenes involving nudity, simulated sex, intense physical intimacy or sexual violence in a way that is safe for all those involved.
